What is Honesty ?

No matter which materials are used they should never be other than the highest grade.
No material should ever be disguised as another
A material should never be used for structural purposes that are contrary to its inherent physical properties.
A structural element should not be made in a given material with a technique that has not traditionally been used for that purpose.
A material that has not acquired the dignity of traditional use in august architecture should be avoided.

What is Diception?

The suggestion of a mode of structure or support, other than the true one…
The painting of surfaces to represent some other material than that of which they actually consist.
The use of cast or machine-made ornaments of any kind.

Role of honesty in contemporary architecture is can speak to us the function and materials that they are made of. From the building, we can know what is the function and role of this building. Expression and architecture go hand-in-hand. Different material of this building can express different feelings. It is what informs the designer how things can be joined together, how something can look and especially how it can perform. In architecture, materiality plays a huge role in appearance to people.

Sekeping Serendah is a private retreat attempting to tread lightly on the land. It contains mud shed, timber shed, glass shed and warehouse that have their own styles. All of this building allow many natural light and can connect to the beautiful natural environment surrounding them. This building mainly using pure and original materials such as timber, mud and glass.

Role of deception in contemporary architecture is the building is symbolism and detail. The building have a different outlook with the non-function structure and changes of surface. This make the building different from others and also make people impress of it. The use of machine and technology nowadays is very important in contemporary architecture. The detailing and the pattern of the building can show the unique of the building by using machine. It also save more cost and time in making the detailing of building.

Heydar Aliyev Cultural Center

In Baku, Azerbaijan, there is the colossal Heydar Aliyev cultural centre, a billowing creation that promises to be the most complete realisation yet of the Hadid universe. The Heydar Aliyev Cultural Center's exterior space frame is completely separate from the rest of the building. It's inefficiencies lie in its lack of integration with the rest of the building becoming little more than an expensive 'dress' for the building.

If a fourth text were added to this chapter, I think the argument will be about the benefit of deception architecture nowadays since It makes many symbolism and unique building and make changes for modern architecture.
